In Matthew 28:19 he told the Disciples to baptize in the" NAME" of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and if we study it through, we find that they all baptized in the NAME of Jesus.

When we understand the Godhead the way the Disciples understood it, it makes perfect sense. The name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost, is Jesus, the fullness of the Godhead is in him. In Acts 2:38 Peter told the people to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and they would recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We still do things the way that the apostles did it, just the way that God in the flesh (Jesus) told them to do it. There are those who say that baptism is considered "works" and that we are not saved by works, and in a sense they are right, in that we are not "saved" by works, but see what James had to say about it.

James 2:14-26

14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

25Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

So we conclude that we have to do something beyond just believing, to be saved. If we didn't, then why would all of that other stuff be in there?

God's Saving

GRACE

The plan of salvation: We all have an empty place in our lives without Jesus Christ. No matter what we do or what we own, we cannot have a fulfilling purpose in life without Jesus Christ. A relationship with Jesus is the only thing that will fill the void in an individual's life.

If you have not given your heart to Jesus, now is the time to do so according to 2 Corinthians 6:2. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23). Our sins have seperated us from God, but God sent His Son to be the ultimate sacrifice so that we can have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10). Micah 7:18 says that God delights in mercy.

It is the Lord's delight and great pleasure to give you forgiveness. Why choose death when you can choose life? Romans 6:23 says for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. A gift is free and you have been pardoned by the blood of Jesus.

You must confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.(Romans 10:9-13). Of course believing involves some doing on our part, Satan and his angels believe, but are not saved. In Matthew 16:16 Jesus said "he that believeth, and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned".

what's our PURPOSE?

To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Give the message of hope according to John 3:16. To serve as a hub of revival, not just to our community, but also to the nation, and the world. To move people onto God's agenda that they may give this awesome message of hope to everyone, and that they may be set free, because whom the Son hath set free is free indeed.

We are a Bible believing, God-fearing, Apostolic church. We welcome anyone to attend. You will be loved and you will hear the truth brought forth. For Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. John 14:6. His mercy endures to all generations. This is the place where you can discover God's plan for your life and your family.

there's no

EXCUSE.

"What keeps you out of church will keep you out of heaven!"

When Jesus walked the earth, he was a living example to all Christians. The word Christian means to be Christ like, and according to Luke 4:16 it was his custom to go into the synagogue on the sabbath. In first corinthians 12:14-27 it speaks of the different body parts all being different, but all being needed, and then saying that we are all members of the body of Christ. Hebrews 10:25 says Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
So as the body of Christ we are supposed to assemble ourselves together. Think about this one too, if we don't have to go to Church, then why did Jesus bother building it?

The trumpet will sound sharply at 1:30PM, Thursday, Oct. 11th, to open the 2018 Feast of Pentecost at Mercy Tabernacle in Benton.

The feast will run Oct. 11-14.

"It is a time for us to come together & experience an outpouring of the Holy Ghost. This is a time for everyone to come & be blessed, & to be a blessing to each other, & a refreshing for the saints." ~ Bishop John McCann

The Feast is not a regular camp meeting, or church convention, this is a celebration of the Holy Ghost anointing, with anointed singing, preaching, teaching, & praise & worship that brings you right into the presence of the Lord.  Anointed music & singing by many from all over the United States, there are just too many to really start naming names.  As well as hearing all the dynamic ministers.

"I just want to urge all my friends to start making plans to be with me & First Lady Hazel once again at the Feast of Pentecost.  I will be looking forward to hearing from you all very soon.  October will be here before you know it, & if I can be of help to anyone, please let me know.  My family & I have given our entire life to the work of God, & it thrills our heart to see the fruit of our labor."  ~ Bishop John McCann

TRUTH

MERCY

A lot of Churches today have a.t.m.s inside, but unfortunately they are the kind that give you cash to put in the offering plate. We don't have one of those contraptions, but if you are low on c.a.s.h. (caring, and soul healing) we have the solution, and it doesn't cost a thing.

puzzling

ISN'T IT?

"Jesus mends broken hearts, but he needs all the pieces!"

Most people can tell you that Jesus can mend your broken heart, but how many of us realize that in order for him to do that, we have to give our heart to him? Some will do that, only to take it back once it is mended. That is not exactly the best long term strategy

watch that

FIRST STEP!

"As Christians we ought to watch our step, everyone else is!"

When we profess to be Christians, we may not realize just how closely we are watched. We don't think that people see us leave for Church on Sunday, and perhaps Wednesday. We may not know that people notice us being courteous to strangers, or correcting the cashier when she gives us too much change. It is when we fail to do any of the above, that we find out just how closely we are being watched, or when we do something that the world perceives as sin, we will hear about it real quick. The words none of us wants to hear, "I thought you were a Christian!?!?" We must remember that we may be the only Bible some people will ever read, and the only sermon they will ever hear. If we make one mistake in front of them, all of our good means nothing to them.

the TRUE

YOU.

"Charactor is who you are when no one else is around!"

ANYBODY CAN "BE ON THEIR BEST BEHAVIOR" WHILE OTHER PEOPLE ARE LOOKING, BUT THEY MUST REALIZE THAT PEOPLE ARE NOT THEIR JUDGE, AND GOD IS ALWAYS WATCHING. SO REMEMBER, WHEN NOBODY ELSE IS AROUND, GOD STILL IS.

deception of the

HEART.

"A conscience is what hurts when everything else feels good!"

If our conscience is still intact, then this statement is so true, we know when we are doing wrong, and it hurts, but the Bible talks about what will happen in the latter days in 1 Timothy 4:2 and if you look around, you will realize that the latter days to which it is referring are here right now.
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron ; 3 Forbidding to marry , and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained . 7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
